Let your voice be heard

Tuesday, April 6th, 2010

Over the past month, there’s been an ongoing conversation among Golf Industry folks about “The Next Big Thing”.  They’re searching for the great idea that will entice new players, keep current players and lure those who have quit back to the game. Of course, no one has yet come up with the “answer” but you can imagine there are lot of suggestions. I’d like you to become part of the solution, so click here to take a one page survey that will take less than 5 minutes.

Why do you LOVE golf?

Monday, March 29th, 2010

Got an email from a friend the other day with a long list of reasons why he loves golf. For a couple of years now, I’ve ended the GOLF SMARTER Podcast with a quote submitted by listeners. These quotes are either humorous, a reminder of how to keep your head in the game, or a simple tip. Let’s shake things up a bit! Please click on the Hey Fred button below and tell me why you love golf. If I use yours to close the podcast before the 2010 PGA Championship, I’ll send you a book.

Upcoming interview on Golf Etiquette

Wednesday, July 1st, 2009

Frequently I’ll receive emails from listeners of the GOLF SMARTER podcast requesting shows about golf etiquette, how to tactfully get slow players to pick up their pace, or how to nicely ask someone to keep down the noise while your shooting.  On July 8, I’ll be recording a conversation with Rick Pipal, who’s online character is Duffy MacMulligan, the “Pro To Call” (protocal, get it? Cute.) His website is a great resource of golf etiquette, a necessary element to enjoy the game, but not traditionally covered by instructors. If you have any questions or issues that you’d like me to cover when speaking to Rick…er, Duffy, please write me before July 8.
