Twenty-five years ago, when we brought baby Danny home from the hospital, we were very careful to first present him to Ziggy, our shitzu/poodle/terrier mix. Ziggy sniffed him, licked him, and promptly accepted our new family member. For the next few weeks, Ziggy slept under the bassinet and the two were best buddies until Ziggy died at age 16.

Not every dog adjusts as well to every baby and on this week’s Good Dog episode, dog trainer/behaviorist Trish King offers tips and advice for keeping your baby safe and well cared for by and around your dog.
