In November of 2007, I interviewed Marlena Cervantes, owner of Flexpetz, a business that introduced flexible pet ownership to a number of American cities. When she applied to open a branch in Boston, the animal rights community organized and has prevailed in preventing her from coming not only to Boston but to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

In today’s episode of Good Dog, Massachusetts Representative Vincent Pedone discusses the issues behind the ban and why so many animal rights activists and veterinarians cared enough to get involved.
