Guide Dogs for the Blind has joined forces with the Canine Cancer Genome Project (part of the National Institutes for Health) to help reduce cancer in both dogs and humans. Geneticist Dr. Elaine Ostrander explains the work being done to identify genes that cause cancer and how dogs in general, and Guide Dogs in particular, are aiding in this effort.
