Being “in the zone,” as some people say, is being able not to think too much, and relying on instinct, as Michael Anthony, author of “The Mental Keys to Improve Your Golf,” suggests in this episode of Golf Smarter Tips. Oddly enough, thinking that you are in the zone immediately takes you out of the zone. However, two things you can do are breathe deeply, or focus on the ball.
